CEO & Co-Founder

Frank Masaeli is the CEO and Co-Founder of FarHeater Engineering Inc., with more than 25 years of experience in consulting engineering, building systems design, and project delivery across Canada and the United States.

He has delivered mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection projects across the healthcare, hospitality, residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. Frank is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, a licensed PE in the United States, and a LEED Green Associate.

Fiona Taj

Business Developer

Fiona Taj leads business development at FarHeater Engineering Inc., building strong client relationships and driving the firm's growth.

She has been instrumental in expanding FarHeater's reach across the healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and residential sectors, connecting clients with tailored engineering solutions.

Kirill Chernishov

P.Eng., MASc

Mechanical Design Engineer

Kirill Chernishov is a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems, with a focus on energy efficiency, code compliance, and constructability.

Prior to joining FarHeater, he worked with several leading multidisciplinary consulting firms in Canada on complex commercial, institutional, residential, and healthcare projects. Kirill holds a Master of Applied Science (MASc) and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

Ed Burton

P.Eng., PE (US), LEED AP

Lead Mechanical Engineer

Ed Burton leads the Mechanical Team at FarHeater Engineering Inc., bringing over 25 years of experience in mechanical engineering across Canada and the United States.

He specializes in sustainable design, energy-efficient systems, and green building solutions for healthcare, commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Ed is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and the United States and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Sam McKee

P.Eng.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Sam McKee is a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC and plumbing system design, equipment selection, load calculations, and energy analysis.

He works across commercial, institutional, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and industrial projects, providing technical leadership on the design, review, and coordination of mechanical systems. Sam is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

Electrical Project Manager

Eric Z is the Electrical Project Manager at FarHeater Engineering Inc., specializing in electrical power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and fire alarm systems.

He works across commercial, residential, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, and industrial projects, from early design and permitting through to construction. Eric is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

Lead Electrical Engineer

Andy Khani heads the Electrical Team at FarHeater Engineering Inc., specializing in energy-efficient electrical systems for healthcare, commercial, residential, and industrial developments.

He is committed to sustainable engineering practices that align with modern environmental standards, helping FarHeater deliver high-performance designs across North America. Andy is a licensed Professional Engineer and a LEED Green Associate.

Kenneth Truong

B.Eng. – Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Designer

Kenneth Truong is a Mechanical Designer working on HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection design for commercial and retail building projects.

His experience includes load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, sprinkler layouts, and permit and construction drawings to OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards. Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guelph.

Evan Huang

Junior Mechanical Designer

Evan Huang is a Junior Mechanical Designer supporting the design and documentation of mechanical building systems.

Working alongside senior designers and engineers, he assists with HVAC and plumbing layouts, drawing production, and BIM modeling, contributing to markups, revisions, and coordinated permit drawings.
